I do not have to remind you how fast children grow out of their clothes no matter how old they are.  As a parent it can be frustrating that their hardly worn clothes do not fit them and you must spend more money to purchase another outfit.  Once a child has outgrown their clothes, you do not have to get rid of them.  You can actually reuse them in a few different ways.

Hand-me-downs

If you ever had older siblings growing up you were probably the recipient of many outgrown clothes.  Since these clothes are usually in great shape still you can pass them on to someone who will be able to make use out of them.  If you plan on having another child, you can always hold on to a few of the outfits to make use again.

When handing down clothes, your younger children may be disappointed by always getting their older siblings outfits.  If you have knowledge with sewing and fabric you can always spruce up the outfits a bit to make them like new again.  If not, you can easily find someone where you live who could do it for you.

Household Uses

When the clothes your children have outgrown are not in the best of shape you can still make use of them.  Instead of using them for clothing, you can cut them into rags.  These will come in handy for cleaning jobs that may stain or ruin your good kitchen cloths.

Another option is use chunks of the clothing to create a quilt.  Not only is it a great keepsake for your child, but no household can have too many blankets to curl up with.

So next time your child starts to outgrow their baby clothes, do not immediately get rid of them.  Instead use them to make the most out of your money.

Taking care of your skin might be one of the most rewarding personal care routines. Most of the procedures can be done at home using natural ingredients that can be found in your kitchen cupboard or your fridge. Along with amazing visible results, you will give yourself some extra minutes of relaxation and rejuvenation.

3-minute eye rejuvenation pick-me-up

For a quick eye refresher after a sleepless night or a long work-day try using a cucumber eye mask to brighten your eyes and give the skin around your eyes some extra moisture. Put cool, thinly-sliced cucumber rings on your eyes for a minimum of 3 minutes. Finish this procedure with a warm cloth against your eyes and a rich moisturizer for sensitive skin around your eyes.

Pore cleansing

To give your skin a good boost of energy and to get rid of the old skin sells, it is recommended to exfoliate your skin at least once a week with a gentle exfoliate. If you want your exfoliation session to be even more effective and more relaxing, try steaming your face just before, for one to three minutes. Make sure that your steam bath is not too hot, and that you use an extra gentle scrub after the steaming. You can add a drop of lavender essential oil in to the steam water for a more relaxing effect.

The best part is that you don’t have to buy an expensive face steamer. You can just pour hot water in a plate, put a towel over your head and your steamer is ready!

Lemon facial wash

Another great way to cleanse and rejuvenate your facial skin is to wipe your face with a few drops of lemon juice diluted in warm water. Lemon works wonders for getting rid of dirt and to refresh your skin by penetrating deep into your pores.

Enjoy your facial skin care routine and you will see the difference in a couple of weeks.

Everyone loves Vancouver, but only a select amount of people get to visit this amazing city. So, if you’re one of those lucky people who is planning a vacation to Vancouver, make sure you stay at one of the top Vancouver hotels!

Vancouver-BC-Canada

Shangri La downtown Vancouver, Georgia Street

The Shangri La hotel chain has been in the other half of the world for many years, but Vancouver its first North America hotel for Shangri La! This 5 star hotel is the tallest building in Vancouver, and it’s one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The decor is contemporary with a slight Asian flare. It’s very extravagant, and it’s the nicest 5 star hotel in Vancouver. I highly recommend it.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Burrard and Georgia Street - The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has been around for as long as I can remember. It’s probably the most famous hotel in Vancouver, and it’s still one of the favorites among regular Vancouver tourists. The decor is very traditional, and the rooms are appointed with the finest old world furnishings. There is also shopping on the hotel property, some stores include Snowflake, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and St. John.

The Pan Pacific at Canada Place – This is another great Vancouver hotel. It’s located right on the water overlooking the beautiful North Vancouver mountain range. It’s also located right by Canada Place which is a huge convention centre and the main cruise ship port for Vancouver.

Opus in Yaletown - The Opus Boutique Hotel is my favorite hotel in Vancouver, guaranteed! This ultra contemporary hotel features exceptional amenities and service. The Opus is located in Yaletown which is an ultra posh neighborhood in downtown Vancouver.

Wedgewood Hotel on Hornby Street - This is another boutique hotel, but it’s a lot different than the Opus Hotel. The Wedgewood hotel is extremely old school with antique furnishings. But it doesn’t feel like an old hotel, it’s kept very clean, and the service you receive at the Wedgewood cannot be surpassed. Also, each room at the Wedgewood features a walk-out balcony which offers spectacular views of the Vancouver skyline. And there are stunning gardens on the hotel property as well.
